ISTA provides a Shuttle Bus for participants traveling from Vienna to our campus. The ISTA Shuttle Bus departs at U4 Heiligenstadt, and includes one stop at Stadtplatz in Klosterneuburg.
Departure Times from Vienna to ISTA Campus:
16:30 – arriving at 16:55 on campus
16:57 – arriving at 17:21 on campus
Departure Times from ISTA Campus to Vienna:
19:29 I 20:00 I 20:29 I 21:00 I 22:00
To reach the campus by car, leave Vienna city center via Donaukanal Bundesstrasse (B227) in the direction Nordbrücke. Exit B227 before reaching Nordbrücke and take Klosterneuburger Bundesstrasse (B14) until you reach Klosterneuburg. Either:
Turn right at the roundabout after the place-name sign for Maria Gugging.
Take U4 subway (green line) to Heiligenstadt. From Heiligenstadt you can use the ISTA Shuttle Bus or Bus 400 to stop “Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA)”.
From Wien Nußdorf to ISTA it is 12km, taking about 45 minutes by bike. Two-thirds of the route are along the Danube, most of the route is flat. Except for a short stretch of about 200 meters, one can avoid busy roads and stay on bike paths.
Our campus provides several bicycle racks to safely store your bike during your stay at ISTA.
